As small business owners, when we are faced with business challenges, our mind automatically goes into problem-solving mode. And it usually includes "how can I do that?" when we should be asking "who do I need to do that?".

Consider that hiring is an exercise similar to identifying your ideal client:
Identify your ideal avatar (the attributes of the person you’re looking for).
Let others know that this person is what you are looking for. How? Start with social media...it's free and the reach is unbeatable. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and now Clubhouse has a spiderweb effect.
Have a system to disqualify candidates so you’re only speaking with the most qualified people.
Consider hiring somebody with less experience but a strong work ethic, winning mindset, and a personality that blends well with you and your team. You'll have the benefit of teaching them the way YOU want things done, lowering your financial exposure, and may even have more candidates to choose from.
